Making shoes for people with Plantar Fasciitis more fashionable

Initial sketch and pattern -

Initial sketches involved exploring the possibility of using multiple leather pieces for the upper, but I decided to go with a single double-sided piece for simplicity.

Analysing wear pattern and 3D printing midsole-

I mapped out wear patterns on the outsole as it was the most common area of impact. This was further developed into cushioned 3D printed midsole (using Grasshopper), for a softer impact across the sole.
